A BRIEF ON A JOURNEY

Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri
After a thrilling drive from Dehradun, we arrived at the quaint village of Sankri, our starting point for the Har-Ki-Doon trek. The village, nestled amidst towering pine trees, exuded a peaceful charm. We spent the evening acquainting ourselves with the locals' warm hospitality and savoring delicious local cuisine.

Day 2: Sankri to Taluka
Starting our trek from Sankri, we followed a scenic trail that led us to Taluka Village. Passing through dense oak and pine forests, we were enchanted by the melodious chirping of birds and the fragrance of wildflowers. The beauty of Taluka Village's traditional wooden houses and terraced fields left us mesmerized.

Day 3: Taluka to Seema
Continuing our trek, we crossed picturesque wooden bridges over gurgling streams, making our way to the charming hamlet of Seema. Along the way, we witnessed the vibrant local life, with shepherds herding their livestock and villagers going about their daily activities. The apple and apricot orchards added a delightful touch to this serene landscape.

The trail from Taluka to Osla took us through forests of pine, cedar, and oak trees, serving as a habitat for various species of birds. We passed by charming small settlements and had a chance to interact with the friendly locals, who shared tales about their rich culture and traditions.

Day 4: Seema to Har-Ki-Doon
The highlight of the trek arrived as we ascended toward Har-Ki-Doon, a high-altitude glacial valley known for its magnificent beauty. As we hiked through rocky terrains and crossed icy streams, our efforts were rewarded with awe-inspiring views of snow-capped peaks, including the legendary Swargarohini range. The sight of the Har-Ki-Doon meadow, surrounded by towering mountains, was simply breathtaking.
